Albania

Albania opened to newcomers recently: a long visa-free stay, cheap living and a coast that is not fully built up yet. Prices are lower than in neighbouring Greece and Montenegro, and Tirana rent is rising but still affordable. Mediterranean summers are dry and hot, winters mild and rainy, and the northern mountains hold snow. The difficulties are the roads, water and power interruptions outside the main cities, weak public healthcare and almost no Russian-speaking community.
