Angola

Angola is an oil economy in Portuguese: Luanda mixes towers, a seafront promenade and a very high cost of living. International-standard housing and imports in the capital cost more than in many European cities, while local produce is cheap. The coast is dry and hot, the rains run from November to April, and the south turns near-desert. English is almost absent, healthcare is weak, roads outside the capital are poor, and caution is required at all times.
