Argentina

Argentina offers a European-feeling city at Latin American prices: Buenos Aires with its cafes, theatres and doctors, then Patagonia, the vineyards and the Andes. Prices track the exchange rate and move fast, so budgets get recalculated every few months. The seasons are inverted, with humid heat in January and cool Julys, and the north and south of the country live in different climates. Residence and naturalisation are simpler here than in most countries, but Spanish is not optional and banking and currency rules are awkward.
