Barbados
Barbados is a small, well-kept island with English, a calm routine and a long-stay programme for remote workers. Prices are high — food, electricity and rent all cost more because they are shipped in — while infrastructure and connectivity are more reliable than on neighbouring islands. It is warm all year, dry from December to May, wet in summer and autumn, and hurricanes strike less often than further north. What you accept is the cost of living, a narrow job market outside tourism and limited specialist healthcare.
