Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are the financial hub of the Caribbean: George Town offices, Seven Mile Beach and world-class diving. There is no income tax and salaries are high, but rent, food and electricity cost as much as in an expensive American city. It is warm all year, dry from November to April, humid in summer, with hurricane season lasting into November. Staying depends on a work permit, the island is small enough to exhaust its leisure quickly, and imports set a high baseline of expense.
