Where to get coffee in Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon Ratchasima has dozens of coffee shops — from chain outlets in shopping malls to independent cafés in Old City alleyways. This collection features those worth knowing in advance: near the historic center behind the old fortress walls, in shopping malls for extended work sessions or rainy days, and by the Chang Phueak Gate for those using their own transport.

Chain outlets (Café Amazon, TrueCoffee, Starbucks, Coffee World) maintain a unified format across the country: outlets at some tables, Wi-Fi, and a predictable schedule with no surprises. Independent cafés offer no such guarantee, but they're worth knowing if you're looking for local atmosphere rather than a chain brand.

What suits whom

Closest to the Old City — Café Amazon on Ratchadamnoen, a couple of minutes' walk from the Thumphorn Gate: the most predictable option for a quick meeting. Along the same street and nearby — BizCafe on Jomphorn and Thammada Coffee on Ratchadamnoen: independent cafés without chain branding. TrueCoffee Downtown Korat on Phoklang and Revolution Café on Yommaraj — also within walking distance of the Old City, an option if the first ones are closed or busy.

For long laptop work or shelter from rain — Coffee World in Terminal 21 Korat and in Central Korat, Starbucks in The Mall Lifestyle Korat: air-conditioned shopping mall spaces, open late.

North of the Old City, by the Chang Phueak Fortress — Class Café and Arabus Experience Café on the same street: an option for those living in this part of town who don't want to travel downtown for a cup of coffee.
