Czechia is a convenient size: Prague provides international work and healthcare, Brno universities and technology, and the mountains and neighbouring countries are a couple of hours away. Prices sit below Germany, though Prague rent has caught up with Western Europe and stays the biggest line in the budget. Winters are grey with snow in the mountains, summers warm and thundery, and the shoulder seasons long. Czech is needed for paperwork and for work outside international companies, and the residence permit queue moves slowly.
