Egypt holds two different worlds: Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh for the sea and a winter stay, Cairo and Alexandria for work, doctors and history. Living is very cheap for anyone earning in foreign currency, resort rent stays affordable even in season, and imports and good schools cost the most. Winter is mild and sunny, November to April is the best stretch, and the southern summer is punishing. What you accept is bureaucracy, the state of the roads and the water, and healthcare that is best used through private clinics.
