Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea is the island of Bioko with the capital Malabo, plus a mainland region living off oil. Prices are high because of imports and oil-sector demand, and the choice of goods and services outside the capital is very narrow. The climate is equatorial: hot and humid all year, with near-constant rain and brief pauses. Entry is arranged in advance, Spanish and French are needed daily, movement inside the country is restricted, and healthcare is basic.
