Fiji

Fiji is three hundred islands with resorts in the Mamanucas and Yasawas and ordinary life on Viti Levu, where English is spoken. Local produce is moderately priced, imports and electricity are expensive, and rent in Suva and Nadi is easier than at the resorts. It is warm all year, the wet season runs from November to April with cyclones possible, and the dry months are cooler and windier. Work is tied to tourism, healthcare is basic, and inter-island travel depends on ferries and small planes.
