French Polynesia

French Polynesia is Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora: lagoons, mountains and very expensive leisure on the far side of the planet. The cost of living is among the highest in the region: food, fuel and housing are imported, and rent on the main islands is steep. It is warm all year, humid from November to April and dry and pleasant from May to October. Work is tied to tourism and the public sector, French is needed everywhere, and flights between archipelagos are costly.
