Honduras

Honduras is known for Roatán and Utila with their cheap diving, while the mainland stays rural and poor. Living is cheap, island rent costs more than on the mainland, and imported goods are considerably dearer. The dry season runs from February to May, rain falls in summer and autumn, and hurricanes reach the Caribbean coast. Healthcare and roads are weak, the large cities call for everyday caution, and work for foreigners is mostly in tourism.
