Iran is ancient cities, mountains and deserts: Isfahan, Shiraz and Yazd are the reasons people come, while Tehran supplies the urban routine. Local prices are very low for a visitor, but everything runs on cash, as international cards do not work here. The climate varies: hot dry summers, snowy winters in the mountains and the north, mild ones on the Gulf coast. A visa is arranged in advance, internet access is restricted, and daily life follows local rules from dress to public routine.
