Kyrgyzstan

A mountain country with the simplest paperwork in the region and low prices: rent, food and transport in Bishkek cost less than in the neighbouring capitals. Russian still runs the city and its offices, connectivity is steady, and Lake Issyk-Kul sets the rhythm of the summer. Winter air in the capital is heavy, and beyond Bishkek and Osh healthcare and services thin out fast. Entry is visa-free for a long stretch, though the right to work is arranged separately.
