Liberia
Liberia is an English-speaking country with a long Atlantic coast, surfing at Robertsport and Monrovia as the only large city. Local markets are cheap, while expatriate housing, a generator and imports are expensive, and payments often run in dollars. The climate is among the wettest in Africa: rain from May to October and heat and humidity the rest of the year. Healthcare is weak, roads outside the capital are poor, and power and water come with interruptions.
