Morocco offers the ocean, the Atlas mountains and the desert within one trip, while Marrakesh, Tangier and Agadir make three very different winters. Living costs less than in southern Europe, rent and food are affordable, and international schools and alcohol cost the most. The coast stays mild all year, the interior is hot in summer, the mountains hold snow, and rain falls from November to March. The visa-free stay is long but extending it means leaving the country, and without French or Darija errands take longer.
