Mozambique
Mozambique is two and a half thousand kilometres of Indian Ocean coast, the Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos and Portuguese in everyday use. Local produce is cheap, while international-standard housing in Maputo and at the resorts is expensive. It is warm all year, the rains run from November to March, and cyclones can reach the coast in the same months. Healthcare and roads are weak, cities call for caution, and trips to the north are planned around movement restrictions.
