Nigeria

Nigeria is the most populous country on the continent: Lagos runs on business, music and permanent traffic, while Abuja is calmer and administrative. Local produce is cheap, while international-standard housing, a generator and schools in Lagos cost as much as in an expensive world city. The south is humid and hot with rain from April to October, the north dry and hot, and the dusty harmattan arrives in winter. English is official, but power interruptions, roads and everyday caution shape daily life.
