Niue

Niue is a single raised coral island with no beaches in the usual sense: chasms, caves and water so clear that whales are visible from the shore. Prices are high because everything is shipped in, the choice of goods is minimal, and rentals rarely come up. It is warm all year, wet from November to April and dry and cooler from May to October. Fewer than two thousand people live here, flights are infrequent and come from New Zealand, healthcare is basic, and nearly all work is public sector.
