Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea has kept hundreds of languages and ways of life: highland valleys, reef diving and Port Moresby as the transport hub. Local markets are cheap, while international-standard housing, domestic flights and imports are very expensive. The climate is tropical: hot and humid all year, with rainy seasons that vary by region and cool weather in the highlands. Trips are planned in advance and often escorted, healthcare is limited, and roads between regions barely exist.
