Saint Barthélemy

Saint Barthélemy is a small French island that lives on expensive leisure: bays, yachts and a few dozen restaurants for the whole territory. Prices are among the highest in the region for both housing and food, and seasonal demand pushes them higher still. It stays dry and warm nearly all year, the best window runs from December to April, and hurricanes are possible in summer and autumn. Long-term housing is scarce and costly, work follows the season, and medicine and serious shopping happen on Saint Martin.
