Seychelles

The Seychelles are granite islands with the beaches of La Digue and Praslin and a small Mahé as the administrative centre. Prices are high because food, fuel and housing are all shipped in, while entry is simpler than almost anywhere and the permit is issued on arrival. It is warm all year, the trade winds shift twice a year, and the driest weather falls in the transition months. Work outside tourism barely exists, healthcare is basic, and a longer stay requires extension and confirmed accommodation.
