Slovakia
Slovakia is a small country with mountains in the middle and Bratislava on the Austrian border, less than an hour from Vienna. Prices sit below Austria and slightly above Hungary; capital rent is expensive relative to salaries while the rest of the country is much cheaper. Winters are snowy, especially in the Tatras, summers are warm, and the mountain seasons set prices in the tourist valleys. The job market is narrow outside carmaking and IT, and Slovak is needed for paperwork and healthcare.
