Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands are wreck diving, rainforest and Honiara as the only town with real infrastructure. Local markets are cheap, while imports, fuel and expatriate housing are expensive. The climate is humid tropical: hot all year, with rain from November to April and cyclones possible in the same months. Healthcare is basic, electricity is costly and unstable, and moving between islands depends on boats and infrequent flights.
