Sudan

Sudan is considered for short working trips; the pyramids of Meroë and the Nile remain the reason people come. Local prices are low, but supplies, fuel and housing for a foreigner are arranged in advance. The climate is desert: a very hot summer, a short warm winter and a brief rainy season in the south. Entry requires a visa and an invitation, movement inside the country is restricted, and healthcare and connectivity are intermittent.
