Tanzania
Tanzania offers two scripts: a mainland of Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti, and Zanzibar with the ocean, spices and its own way of life. Food and transport are cheap, Zanzibar rent has climbed with the newcomers, and imports are expensive. The coast is hot and humid, long rains fall from March to May and short ones in November, while the highlands stay cool. English is widely used, but healthcare is weak, roads are poor, and power and water on the islands come with interruptions.
