Tokelau

Tokelau is three atolls with no airport: the only way in is a boat from Samoa, and the crossing takes more than a day. Prices are high, the shops carry a minimal range, and almost everything arrives on that same boat. It is warm and humid all year, the cyclone season runs from November to April, and the atolls are low and open to the ocean. Life is communal, work is mostly public sector, healthcare is basic, and anything serious means Samoa or New Zealand.
