Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad runs on oil and gas while Tobago runs on beaches and diving: two islands with very different lives in one country. Local food is moderately priced, imports are expensive, and rent in Port of Spain sits above the regional average because of corporate demand. The climate is tropical: a dry season from January to May, rain from June to December, and hurricanes that pass by more often than further north. The difficulties are caution in the capital, traffic and public healthcare that people replace with private clinics.
