Yemen

Yemen is currently treated as a destination for short working trips rather than a place to live. Local prices are low, but supplies, fuel and housing for a foreigner have to be arranged separately and in advance. The climate is dry and hot on the coast and cooler in the highlands, with rare, brief rains. Entry requires a visa and an invitation, movement inside the country is restricted, and healthcare and connectivity work with major interruptions.
